Most Alternantheras can adapt under submerged conditions except for Alternanthera Sessilis which is essentially a terrestrial plant and cannot be kept submerged for more than a few months. It can be a beautiful addition to a terrarium and paladarium where it can thrive well in semi submerged conditions. This plant produces numerous tiny flowers in white bracts on the leaf axes. The dark maroon foliage can provide a good contrast in the background of green foliage. This plant is a new variety of Alternantheras. One of the significant characteristics of this plant is the vivid pink leaves which are lighter – colored leaf veins. To have a beautiful Alternanthera Rosanervig you’d better to trim it regularly.
